For a dwell, program `G4 P...`. This will keep the axes unmoving for the period of time specified by the P number.

The P number is in seconds by default, and decimals can be used. The [G4 parameter is in milliseconds](docId\:mB7ZDFNFEtgk00UAM--dh) setting changes the time from seconds to milliseconds.

It is an error if:&#x20;

- the P number is negative.&#x20;
