main screen once the software is started, the main operations screen shows a selection of elements we will first explain briefly what can be seen at the top of the window, the version of the software is shown in the image below you see that this is version v5 3 in this case it shows that it is in simulation mode, which indicates there is no connection to the controller in simulation mode the software can be used entirely as if it were connected to a controller giving you the option to eg evaluate the software or develop macros the software will give the same result as if a controller is connected however, there are two crucial differences it can not simulate input signals, so macros that read inputs will not work correctly in simulation mode in simulation mode, more or different i/os can be shown that are not available at the controller that you are using tip it can be helpful to automatically skip macros that will not correctly work in a simulation mode if you would like more information, please look at the macro programming information when the software is connected to one of our controllers, it will show the name of the controller and its firmware version finally, to the right, it shows what cnc file is loaded tabs below that, a number of different tabs are shown the tabs are tab function operate the main operations screen coordinates setting up different coordinates sytems and more program a interface to external cam software tools an overview of available tools variables information about internal variables, also for debugging purpose io information about inputs, and controlling manually outputs service service related information setup setup screen for configuring hard and software help information about software, support and more tab navigation it's possible to navigate the tabs by using keyboard shortcuts short cut function ctrl + tab select tab to the left ctrl + shift + tab select tab to the right alt + o select operate tab left side at the left side a number of buttons and indications are shown the top buttons are mainly for controlling a number of outputs directly they are tool output on/off flood output on/off mist output on/off aux output on/off these four buttons switch the output directly they do now operate through a macro so even it you define a m3 macro, it will be used in the g code that is executed, but it will not be triggered when this buttons is pressed below these buttons, a number of indicators are shown they indicate the current status of the input please note, that based on the settings and the controller, this can be different also, based on the setup, they can either indicate the logic value of an input or show the functional value for example, a home input can be 'high' (=logic), but it will only be activated when it is 'low' (=functional) in the first case, an indicator that is on because the input is high, in the second case an indicated shows that the home input is activated customisations right side bottom side
