Trigger an action other than through the user interface, with an input
You can read inputs and write to outputs within a macroļ»æ, so if you expect a certain output to change state during a certain operation.
For example: During the automatic tool change operation, after the tool change is performed, you can check whether a sensor in the spindle reports that the tool is correctly inserted.
For actions, with the controller itself, you can use
- PAUSE and RUN inputs on your controller to trigger pause/start action
- Use the E-Stop input for situations that require an emergency stop
- If the controller has an AUX input: configure a safety input on one of the AUX inputs to trigger a motion stop or a display message
If you have more extensive requirements for externally triggered actions, such as macro or output level changes, we offer an integrated custom operator panel solution with our UIO-10 device. Please refer to the UIO-10 documentationļ»æ and the store page for more information.
Alternatively, if you would like to control your machine remotely, we also offer a ready-to-use Wireless Handwheel.
